Then I went to Tech Cocktail...

I went to Tech Cocktail on Thursday night. How fun that was! So there I was standing talking with Dave and this very sweeet girl approaches me to ask if I have a blog. I say yes and she said she has actually read it...haha. I then find out, it is kinda her job to read all of the new subcribers to Lijit. Thank you to both Brad Feld and Tara for making that happen.

One day when I grow up...

I want to be a founder and a VC. I am so amazed right now with the community that is present in the Denver and Boulder area. I have seen the network of Denver and Boulder startups and the VCs both online with blogs and offline with TechStars and other events. What a cool group of people and talent.

I went to TechStars for a Day today. The information there was priceless. One of my favorite things was, the true and honest interest in helping ideas become reality. This group of mentors, founders and VCs are pretty much awe inspiring. I must say they really tried to interact and "engage" with as many of us as they could. I was able to talk with a number of them and I felt like they were in fact interested in what I had to say...well they were pretty good fakers anyway.

I really just want to say thanks for that opportunity. It was so valuable.

Information overload!

I am here at VCIR. Wow, there are so many things going on. First, I wore these great shoes http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/33162501/c/1141.html and was stopped by Stewart Alsop, because he liked my shoes. There were some super interesting startups that presented. My 2 faves were Socialthing.com and filtrbox.com. I was able to talk with Ari from filtrbox a bit and he is an awsome guy. I felt like such a newbie, but hey I was learning new things and meeting some amazing people. I really just love this.

The day before VCIR

How exciting for me. I am leaving tomorrow to go to the Venture Capital in the Rockies Conference. Here I am a certifiable newbie in the world of startups, tech companies and well VCs. I will ask as many questions as I possibly can and then I will ask a few more. I have my idea and I am scared to death that it is not a good one, but then again I am scared to death that it is! There is the possibility that I actually have a contact there, I really hope so :) So when I get back I should have lots to blog about...Whoohoo!

So, recently I was told that I should start a blog. I have now been told this by two different people. I really do not think that there are folks out there that have interest in my blogging, but hey I am starting a new adventure right?
